STOP PRESS Roman Projects Now on Show

Posted by Leicesterprep on 17th November 2011

Year 3 and Year 4′s Roman Projects are now on show in the Entrance Hall.  You are strongly urged to take a few minutes to look through them.  Perhaps you might pick up some ideas for your next project; (and, yes, you will have another one later this year!).

Particular congratulations to Hussein and Zain who earned Headmaster’s Commendations but all the children are to be congratulated for the effort they put in.

Well done, some fantastic efforts for your first projects.

Roman Project – Year 3 and 4

Posted by Leicesterprep on 20th October 2011

Over half term Years 3 and 4 have been asked to help find out some more about what it would be like to be a Roman.

What was their food like?    What was it like to go to school then?  How did they spend their spare time?  What did they wear?   What did they use for money?  Some of the questions Mrs Radulovic hopes to find the answers to,with the help of her class.

Remember to go to the library to look for help, as well as using the internet, and of course, if you want somewhere to go for a morning or an afternoon, there could be a return visit to the Jewry Wall Museum with Mum or Dad.  As well as showing them what you found out from our trip last week. you could look for information to help you with your projects!

Mrs Radulovic is really looking forward to reading all the information you have been able to find out.
